I just have to blog this! i am so thrilled with my work placement with sc bank. The first day was at Carlton Hotel, i expected it to be all work and drilling of information after information. but i was so wrong. i had tonnes of fun today. first there were very nice and friendly fgipians (thats what they call themselves), there was lots of teabreaks and strawberry shortcakes, apple crumble. And the lunch menu was Carlton Cafe Vic’s buffet (hurray, i can save my money on it). And there was the fun-loving time : the talent show. And i think we really managed to impress the upper heads. I also got to meet the ceo and my direct hr relationship managers. The lady bosses were really cute, approachable and encouraging. Definitely not what i would expect of female bosses.

The next 2 weeks will be a classroom learning at SMU as well as touring of sc’s battery, commonwealth and tampines branch. The best news would be, I MIGHT JUST BE WORKING AT TAMPINES ! HURRAY.

Can save tonnes on my transport and the managers told me all the ops dept will be moving to the changi area at the end of the year, which is near expo! All the more better for me

I have found a lunch buddy, a travel buddy and met a few really cute colleagues. “cute” as in “cute looking” ok. whitelim was asking me to intro to blacklim, and i will definitely do so!

Jr, u’re right. be prepared. I have tonnes of stories for you. haha. i cannot wait for tomorrow to see what lovely surprises SC comes up with. I am just really relieved I chose SC instead of local banks, they are so much more flexible and definitely international with many different ppl from different localities.

I have been going out with besties…doing everything besties do. shopping, pigging out, cycling, late night chill outs at starbucks.

Fen is back! We bought Benefit cosmetics together this time round, my gosh 100 bucks poof gone just like that. And i was quite pissed cos after I came back from cycling…my skin tone seems to be starkingly different from the previous colour. So i think i blardy hell wasted money buying the Benefit foundation. owell, Fen is coming up with remedy plans for me.

I was awaken by ph’s sms on saturday, and the msg was “oh man est, michael jackson is dead”….

i grew up to the tunes of MJ and my parents have always played his concert videos during weekends. i practically wake up to the tunes of MJ and Kitaro since young. MJ has transcend tunes never before, with the Jackson 5, he transcend race, created a whole new genre of pop music that strongly influenced the music industry. Though he is gone, his legacy remains.

Am really disheartened that so many people are skeptical about him trying to cheat money using his 50 world tour concert. I was still hoping to attend his world tour concert, which was coming soon. Now that it isn’t possible, it will always be one of my slight regrets. I was watching mtv and the tribute to him, relinquishing all my favourite mvs , i managed to find some on youtube. Michael Joseph Jackson isn’t just the King of Pop, he is the King of Music, he is the king.

all thanks to by_rovski for the lovely top, and their service is really good. Squid ink pasta from Waraku is a must try, in my opinion it is even tastier than higher-end Italian restaurants. Indochine with Lili was really shioks, i lub my besties. Oh yah , and i had my long dued hair cut…its this place at FEP called WARS. the cut wasnt cheap but i was very please with the service provided. I spent more than an hr there just for a hair cut, they provide head massages too for their customers. really worth it.

The club was very exclusive, club sandwiches, pool, wii on a saturday was sweet. Next up will be golf and squash. And i met a cute little girl there, she said “hello” to me ten times in the club -.-

One big load of my mind would be, I have found a job at Standard Chartered and Bali plans are fixed! cannot wait to check out Nusa Dua, pretty Ubud, Tanah Lot, Uluwatu , paragliding, fly fish, jet ski etc…How i wish i can fly that now. Sadly I can only go for 4 days….Kuan’s friend went there for 9 days and he couldnt comb finish the tourist hot spots! Everything seems to be falling into place finally.

I have been very busy this week….busy playing that I am feeling so guilty currently. Tho i have been going for  quite a number of interviews…i have not been actively sourcing for other leeds. which is bad in some ways, and friends have been messaging me on msn telling me how actively they are sourcing jobs. I have signed up for voluntary work …hehe decided to do something out of the box this hols. Anyway here are some pictures that were taken these few days….

Carousel’s experience was overall needlesstosaygood, however there were some food that were BLAH. the ones i really adore are the desserts (esp Tiramisu, Bread pudding, Creme Brulee) and the seafood (esp lobsters, scallops, clams). We have decided to buffet as often as possible…haha build stamina

and the following next few days….met up with buddy. We were supposed to make it for Canele’s breakfast cos i was really craving for blueberry pancakes! butbutbut LATE even tho there was manual strength from the vehicle. next up, we went back to school ’s library and holland v’s essential brew. And check out the polo he was wearing, BURBERRY! I love it ! Oh yah Burberry is having good sales now, peeps do check it out.

the rose tea was a bit weird and the wireless connection there was a little cranky. nevertheless i still had fun!

i need to stop getting LVs! isnt even my fave brand. but still, thanks lots for the belated gift from overseas, JR !

the second night out after the finals….

went out for a little pigging out with the boy , and tho we have done that quite a number of times before the finals, this was the only time i brought my camera along! so here they are…below are a couple of my faves

my fave food of the night has to be the Stracci and the Panna Cotta. And the boy got me another surprise , the LV Damier. I wasnt expecting it at all and had never plan of getting another lv but still…i love it to bits. Thanks baby. Right now, i am loving every bit of my freedom , it will be buffets , plant shopping and beach affair next week. All i can say is… I can hardly wait.

Pardon for the lack of updates! my blog is slowly disintegrating into dust !

I had a sweet and quiet birthday with my family and bf. as i age, i gradually prefer quiet birthdays..no longer yearning for a party or anything. being 22 seems old but i will accept it with grace. finally, one chapter closes and another is beginning to unfold. my final paper is dued tomorrow as for preparation, at least i THINK i am prepared. or rather i want to think that i am. anyway i am taking some time to write about celeb fashion and of course, to thank my dearest bf and friends who wished me.

firstly, the bf for planning the lovely surprise. you outdid yourself again! and friends who called me, friends who text me, friends who wished me on facebook. you’re appreciated! especially two friends, Ben and Daniel who never fail to text me at 12 am to wish me, tho i often forget their bday. tfs and aunt pat sent me a greeting card. really sweet!
